Students of PTEK were invited to watch the spectacular Bridging Minds this year yesterday morning at Dewan Raya in the RTB building.
Presenter : Rozaidah bte Hj Abd Rahman (Brunei) and Shan Wee (Singapore)
Bridging Minds is a collaboration between Brunei & Singapore to build closer media ties between the two countries. It is a debate competition with an extra element; the participants have to act, like a play.
This year's topic was Recession: A Blessing? The Bruneian & Singaporean students were jumbled up into teams. So it wouldn't be a Brunei vs Singapore match up, to be fair. As usual, there was a Proposition team & an Opposition team. Both teams had 3 acts to play out and each with a prologue & an epilogue.

The competition kept being heated up as each acts were played out. For the Proposition team, everyday problems in the workplace, television etc were used as examples while for the Opposition team, they had a superhero theme with a criminal named Mr. Recession.

In the end, the Opposition team emerged victorious.
Our very own, Yusof Fadli was in the Opposition team.
The best performer went to Nurliza bte. Abd Zabar from Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Ali.
