On 7th December 09, the Adventure Club held a Camping Activity for 3 days for the orientation of the AJK committee to the lower Sixth adventure club.
On the first day, early in the morning, the members were registered and they had to arrange the foods that they were asked to bring for camping at the dining hall followed by an opening speech by the AC president, Fai.
After that, they had to go to the ice breaking session which is the musical chair activity. The unlucky ones had to be questioned by the seniors of AC club members :P
The following activity was finding name tags for the members around the school. It could be anywhere in the school EXCEPT the toilet. Some of them had to run around the school countless times and still couldn’t find their name tags :/
After that, the lower sixth members were split to 5 groups which was Penyaram,Putri Mandi, Salurut, Ardam and Seri Muka. Each group then had to present their talent on the stage. The seniors named it AC idol. The highest score fall to Putri Mandi which is Group 2. They were the most creative and most probably the most entertaining group that performed! Congrats!
After that, the lower sixth member were given a task to memorise every names of the lower sixth member for a few minutes.
Then every member had to come on stage and call out the people that they were pointing to. The group who had the lowest score had to clean up all the mess in the multi-purpose hall. The mess was were done on purpose by the seniors. The seniors also instructed the team who has lost to NOT ask help from the other junior members. But we were tricked, the seniors allowed the rest of the juniors to help. They just didn’t let the members who had lost to ask for help. This taught us a lesson that we should help each other when others are in trouble.
After that Zohor prayer. Then lunch which were Curry Chicken with Rice. Thanks to the refreshment committee for filling our stomach! :D
After that, the senior AJK committee introduced their jobs such as media, medic, security, religious, planner, logistic and the most important are the President, Vice President, Secretary. This is the time the lower sixth member to choose what AJK they want to be in.
After that the juniors went to the multi-purpose hall for an interview at the stage. During this interview, they were asked what post did they want and why did they want to be in it.
After the interview, those who were done were asked to take a shower in the school toilet! Imagine how hard that was :P Then we had to do solat Maghrib followed by bacaan surah yassin at the multi-purpose hall and then Isyak prayer.
We proceeded to the dining hall after that for dinner – rice, scramble egg, egg soup.
Then there was a talk held by the experienced Medic members from the previous generations of AC and also a talk from the senior 1st batch AC.
At 10.00pm we were asked to sleep. The boys slept at the open area at dining hall and the girls slept at the student centre which was free from bugs or whatever unwanted creatures. Plus, the room was air-conditioned :D despite all that, some of the girls slept at 2 am because we were still uncomfortable.
The boys on the other hand, spent their time eating at the dining hall until 4.00am :P
